THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS

       

Christmas is known as the season to be jolly. It is celebrated every 25th day of December and it is also known as the birth of our beloved Jesus Christ. And this season is the most elegant and most promising event of the year.

          Here in the Philippines, christmas is started celebrating in the month of September until December. So, when the so-called "Ber-months" came, we are also starting decorating our home to feel the essence of Christmas. Decorated Christmas trees, dancing and singing Christmas lights and hanging up of the so-called "Parol" are only few you will see in every home you will visit. Complete family is the best gift you will receive every Christmas because a complete family makes your christmas happy. And Christmas is known to be the happiest moment or event ever because of a complete family. As a member of the Christian society I believe that the birth of our beloved Jesus Christ is the most important ever.

          Christmas time was always a magical time of the year for me. How wonderful it would be to relieve the magic of Christmas. Don't get me wrong, I have always been a kid at heart and a true lover of christmas. I believe that God has sent me the most magical christmas gift of all.

CLIMATE CHANGE

CLIMATE CHANGE

               Reading your newspaper, climate change. Watching your television, climate change. Hearing your radio, climate change. Do you observed what I observed? Yes! Your correct. Climate change is one of the biggest problem of the world. And you know, this is all our fault. We neglect the God's gift which is the world.

               Yes! I commit that I also neglect the God's gift but neglecting the God's gift is not the major and possible caused of climate change. Base on my research, climate change is caused by factors such as bio-tic processes, variations in solar radiation received by Earth, plate tectonics and volcanic eruptions. But there are certain human activities that would caused climate change and that is often referred to as global warming. And base also on my research, the possible effects of climate change are duration and intensity of tropical storms, loss of sea ice, accelerated sea level rise and longer, more intense heat waves and glaciers have shrunk. But what can I do or what can we do to prevent this climate change in our own simple way. For me, i would suggest or I would recommend the we should be energy efficient, choose renewable power, trim your waste, get informed or follow the latest news about climate change, and it is important to donate and support the organizations who is working hard on solutions to climate change.

               So, what are you waiting for? Go and do what you can do to prevent climate change! Do not neglect the God's gift because this is the only planet that human being exists and live and no other than planet.     

ENGLISH MONTH

OUTPOURING HEARTS AND MINDS,

THROUGH LITERACY AND ENGLISH PROFICIENCY

               As we grow old and as time goes by, we can build skills and talents like singing, dancing, panting and etc. But by reading books, we can build not just a talent but a skill especially in speaking other languages and it widened our minds.

               We need to have a knowledge in language and even proficiency through our hearts and minds. Yes! We must have a knowledge in language because language is the human ability acquire and use complex systems of communication, and a language is any specific example of such a system. Whenever we write or speak, we use language, whenever we make a promise or ask a question, we use it. So, language is very important to human society. But there is a language that is really hard to speak and that is the English language. And we must learn this language because throughout the world when people with different languages come together they commonly use English to communicate. But because it is one of the most difficult languages to learn it is important to focus on exactly why it is you want to learn English. There are many reasons to learn English. First reason, is knowing English will make you bilingual and more employable in every country in the world. Another reason why English is so important is that is the language of science.

               To easily learn this language we must put all our hearts and minds and focus on exactly why it is you want to learn English.   

EQUAL RIGHTS, EQUAL OPPOTUNITY

HUMAN BEINGS ARE BORN FREE AND EQUAL!!!

               Equal opportunity? Equal rights? A situation in which people have the same opportunities in life as other people, without being treated in unfair way because of their race, sex, sexuality, religion, or age is called EQUAL OPPORTUNITY, while the state of being equal, especially in having the same rights, status and opportunities is called EQUAL RIGHTS.

              In our modern time, do we have an equal rights and equal opportunities as a human being? A big question to human society. All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. But as a human being for the past sixteen years, DISCRIMINATION!, Yes, discrimination is what I observed now, which is unfair treatment of someone because of their religion, race, sex, sexuality, or other personal features. But forget their religion, race, sex, sexuality or other and let's treat them as a human being with with equal rights and with equal opportunities. And freedom is what I need, freedom is what you need and freedom is our need. Freedom or power to act, speak or think as one wants, without hindrance or restraint. By this freedom, we can do whatever we want because we are all born free and born with equal opportunities.

               No one has the right to discriminate other people because we all want freedom, rights and opportunities. Freedom to act, right to speak and opportunity without being treated in an unfair way.  

MY REFLECTION 2

CHANGE: The only permanent thing in the world

           

               As we all know that "CHANGE" is the only permanent thing in the world. Change that can help us for a brighter future. And through this change we can build and develop our skills and talents.

               For the second grading period I must say that this is the beginning of my change. Change in my computer skills through the activities we did like HTML tags, pre-formatted text and etc. Change in my wonderful ideas through the essays we are making with respective subject. And especially change in my life because I believe that all the activities we did and all the essays we make can help me for improving my skills and talents in computer.

               But as we are changing, we can not evade problems and challenges because through this problems and challenges we can get some strength and power to build up changes in our life. And for this grading I encounter problems especially on time consuming because I always do first my hobbies like watching T.V. instead of making my assignments and projects and sometimes I passed my assignment and projects late. But I address it by doing first my assignments and projects to not waste my time and to passed my projects and assignments on time.

               From this problems, challenges and all the changes in my life I learn now how to be more conscious on time consuming. So, for this coming quarter I will do now first my projects and assignments instead of doing first my hobbies to passed it on time.

 

INTRAMURAL 2014

INTRAMURAL 2014

             

            Do you know what Intramural is? Base on my research, Intramural is literally means "written on the walls", in other words, an Intramural program is one that carried on within the confines of a schools or institutions. While the purpose of Intramural in schools is to offer an opportunity for voluntary participation in a varsity type program.

               Our Intramural happened last September 18-19, 2014 were all year level competing for the grand champion. And as a fourth year student, I scream and shout to give my moral support to the fourth year athletes. This school years Intramural, the SSG officers did many activities like Horror Booth, which they always did every year and likewise the Movie Booth. And unfortunately while we are celebrating the Intramural it came the heavy rain and on the third day, we are not able to celebrate our Intramural because of Typhoon Mario. We were devastated and thank god we are now recovered and we are hoping that it will not happen again. And as we all know that there are three stages of a Intramural program and they are planning, execution and evaluation. Like what I've said a while ago that the purpose of the Intramural is tio offer an opportunity for voluntary participation in a varsity type program.

               So, I can say now that this school years Intramural gave me happiness, unforgettable moment and everything that I gain from this program. And I'm happy that this program ends in a good way.

                    Dedication, understanding, hardships and caring are the words that we can remember when we heard the word TEACHER. But don't you know that teacher is a person who provides education for students.

                    Without teachers there were no Doctors, Lawyer, Architect, Engineers and etc. Why? because teachers are the one who give knowledge to reached and accomplished our goals and ambition in life and they are the one who contributed for our success. We may consider them as our treasure in life because they are our power and strength to pursue our goals and ambition. They serve as our second parent who teach us ABC......... and 123.......... in our childhood until it expands while we are going up. They are the one who sacrifices everything for our own sake and for our own good.Their continuous patience and hard works is i really appreciated because no one can do this. Teachers are also the sources of moral teachings. By your sacrifices, patience and everything you did for us, I salute you!

                    "Education is the key to success", saying that I can't really forgot because it reminds me that without teachers there were no education. And I believe that teachers will forever be a hero.

SCIENCE CLUB MONTH

IMMUNATION: ARMING SCIENCE CLUBBERS WITH HEALTHFUL DEFENSES TOWARDS NATIONAL WELLNESS

         

It's September already! and when September came, in our country it is already the start of Christmas. But don't forget that this month is also called National Science Clubbers with the theme "Immunation: Arming Science Clubbers with Healthful Defenses Towards National Wellness."

        The theme for this year's National Science Club Month celebration informing us that through science and technology we can be immune in any form of diseases because science and technology doing great job for the improvement of human society. In connection with the celebration there were colors that symbolizes the science club which is the color green for agriculture, blue for marine environment and white for sanitation. This colors represents how the science and technology improved and rehabilitate the human society into a brighter and better community. Medicines, machineries and computers, these are only the several products of science and technology that helps a lot to us. Diseases are now cured and treated because o the inventions of the scientist with the help of science and technology.

   So, based from the theme we can conclude that science is important and valuable to us with the help of scientist and technology.

MODERN DAY HERO

MODERN DAY HERO

       Dr. Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio, and Apolinario Mabini, do you know them? They were just only the several Filipino hero that we can be proud of. Why? Because they are the one who protected and who gave independence in our country. But in our modern time, there were Filipino’s that we can considered as hero or so called Modern Day Hero.

       Mr. Jerry B. Regua and Mrs. Valentina L. Regua who is my parents is whom I considered as my modern day hero. I considered they as my hero because of three meaningful and wonderful reasons. First, because they have the ability and character of a hero. Second, because they always helping me in many aspects of my life and they always there especially in the time of my sadness and loneliness. The third and last reason is because they sacrifices everything even their health just to give our needs and necessities in life and just to make us happy. So, to my parents I salute you to all your hardwork and sacrifices and your always be the best parents in my heart.

      To all modern Day Hero there, I salute you also to your kindness and helpfulness to the human society. Keep up your good intention to help and keep up your hardwork. I always salute you.

WIKA NG PAGKAKAISA

WIKA NG PAGKAKAISA

               "Wika ng Pagkakaisa" ang tema ng buwan ng wika para sa taong ito na layong ipaalala sa atin na ang pagkakaisa ng isang bansa ay naipapakita sa paggamit ng sariling wika. Kaya mula Batanes hanggang Jolo nagkakaisa ng bawat Pilipino dahil ang gamit nila'y wikang Filipino.

               Sa bansang tinaguriang Perlas ng Silangan, may isang wika ang natatangi at siyang nagbubuklod-buklod sa mamamayang Pilipino at walang iba kundi ang wikang Filipino. Wika na tinagurang kaluluwa ng ating bansa. Ngunit sa paglupig ng mga wikang banyaga sa ating pambansang wika, nagagamit pa ba natin ito? o mas binibigyang pansin at mas binibigyang halaga na natin ang mga wikang banyaga katulad ng Ingles? Sa modernong panahon ngayon hindi na natin masyadong nagagamit ang ating pambansang wika. Halimbawa na lamang nito, ay ang pagbibigay natin ng ating mga talumpati, mas nagagamit na natin ng wikang Ingles laysa sa wikang Filipino dahil sa ating pagkakaalam na tayo'y mas igagalang at mas rerespetuhin ng mga tao. Ngunit ating isaisip na mas mahalaga pa rin ang paggamit ng ating sariling wika para tayo'y magkaisa, magkaintindihan at higit sa lahat magkaunawaan. Dahil ang bansang nagkakaisa ay isang bansang nagtutulungan at may magandang pakikitungo sa isa't-isa.

               Sa pagtatapos ng buwan ng Agosto na siyang buwan ng ating pambansang wika huwag nating kalilimutan na gamitin pa rin ang ating pambansang wika nang sa ganun tayo'y magkaisa sa iisang hangarin na isabuhay at isaisip na ang wikang Filipino ay wikang pambansa ng perlas ng silangan. Mabuhay mamamayang Pilipino. Mabuhay Pilipinas.

MY REFLECTION

JOURNEY TO THE NEW WORLD

              As time goes by, we can learn and discover something new. Something that we can learn from our experiences and from our teachers. But for this grading many learnings and discoveries I gain from all my subject teachers especially in ICT. Before, I don't know how to make a g-mail and blog account but when my teacher taught me I know now how to make a g-mail and blog account. I know now also how to post a blog. And my knowledge in ICT were also widen because of the information and ideas given by our teacher.

                 But as we learn and discover new things we always encounter problems and challenges. And being a student I always encounter problems and challenges because this is a part of my life being a student. But the most and super hard problem I've ever encounter is making our Investigatory Project. This project has many processes and experimentations to have an excellent and good project. Making blogs is also one of my problems because I'm not good in making essay and I'm not good in English language.

                  But how can we address this challenges? For me, I will address it by researching and gathering informations about our Investigatory Project. I address it also by making it easy for us to have an excellent project. In making blogs I can address it by using an English dictionary to become easy for me to make an essay.

                      For this quarter I had encounter different problems and challenges because I became an irresponsible student. So, for this coming second quarter I will do all my best to have a good performance and to pursue my dreams in life.   

5TH STATE OF THE NATION ADDRESS

STATE OF THE NATION ADDRESS 2014

President Benigno S. Aquino III delivered his 5th State of the Nation Address or SONA last Monday, July 28, 2014 at the Batasang Pambansa. Many politicians and celebrities attend the 5th Sona of the president and all of them wore their most beautiful and most elegant dress. But this is not the main event of the SONA.

President Aquino started his Sona about the transforming of the Philippines from "sick of man of Asia" into most promising economy in Asia. He also discussed the importance of Disbursement Acceleration Program DAP as he defended his stance, despite the controversy. He discussed all his excellency in leadership, particularly the new infrastructures which was mentioned many times during his SONA. he also discussed about the matters regarding the country's economy, defenses, public works, and education. But I was disappointed about how little he talked about the state education in our country. Mr. President you should prioritized about the education in our country.

After his 5th SONA the Filipino citizens shared their reaction, opinion, and ideas about the SONA. For me, I was not satisfied about his SONA because he always promised us but he was not doing his promises well. So, I was hoping that on his last SONA he will not only make promises but he will do his promises.

NUTRITION MONTH CELEBRATION 2014

"KALAMIDAD PAGHANDAAN: GUTOM AT MALNUTRISYON AGAPAN"

     The whole month of July is also known as Nutrition Month and we are celebrating this every year. In every year we are celebrating this month there always be a theme and the theme for this year's nutrition month celebration is "Kalamidad Paghandaan: Gutom at Malnutrisyon agapan."

     By reading the theme for this year's nutrition month celebration we can predict that this is all about on how we can prevent and on how we can prepare gor the coming calamities or disasters. The theme gives us also information on how we can lessen the growth of malnourish children in our country. In our school, every year they always conducting many competitions for the nutrition month. One of the competition they were conducting is the food festival because this is one ways on how we can lessen the growth of malnourish children. Food festival is were we are selling nutritious food in our school. Nutrition month always inform us that it is important to eat vegetables and other nutritious food and avoid eating junkfoods and other foods with high in cholesterol for a healthy body.

     So, nutrition month is an important month for us because it remind us to make a step for the improvement of the growth of a healthy child in our country.

                First of all good day to you sir. I am Raffy Regua a student of Ilocos Sur national High School. I wrote this letter sir because I just want to congratulate you for being a good leader and for the progressive economy of our country.

               For the past four years as a president of this country you showed to us your kindness and competence in leadership. In your leadership there was a development in our economy because of the programs you have done to improve the economy of our economy of our country. The number of poor people was lessen in our country because of the program you implemented like the Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino orogram or 4P's and we are included here. This program is a great help to us. The number of unemployment filipino was also lessen because of you sir. So, I am hoping that you will continue your kindness to everyone.
